Kids Summer Camp--Camp Green Star

First Step Renew, LLC is offering a kids summer camp--Camp Green Star—to teach kids, ages 7-13, about sustainability and urban agriculture.  The camp is a secular (non-religious) camp held at Madison Christian Community on Old Sauk Road in Madison.  In Camp Green Star’s outdoor classroom, kids will gain hands-on experience with gardening and raising chickens. They will also learn about bees, prairies, composting, permaculture, conserving water and energy, and making butter and soft cheese.  The camp is a half-day camp, with four one-week sessions, from mid July to mid August.  Camp fees are $150 per session, with a $10 discount for additional kids from the same family.

First Step Renew Information

First Step Renew offers sustainable living classes on topics such as gardening, cooking, growing gourmet mushrooms, Permaculture, and more.  These things used to be handed down from generation to generation.  Oftentimes this doesn't happen today.  These skills can save you money, entertain you, and sustain you.
Classes and talks are held at various locations in Wisconsin.
